- CHANGES AND BUGS FIXED ON ASTRO 2.XX.
-
-
- 2.01 Transit Printout fixed so text describing effect of
- planet only shows on first transit printout
-
- 2.02 Transits fixed so aspects which are not used are
- deallocated after use. Also fixed a bug that would
- prevent user from viewing extremely large file
- even after clipping. Parameters used when printing
- a file or converting it to text are now saved to
- the ASTROSYS.DAT file. But the out file is not
- saved unless it is a device. Changed maximum
- parameters in print report and convert to ascii
- text. Maximum width is now 160 characters wide, and
- left margin for printout is 40 characters.
-
- ASGRAPHC: fixed font file problems so defaults to
- Modern if found, also if no font dir is specified,
- then it defaults to cd. "n1" in default font def
- was causing problems with scaled fonts supplied so
- removed it. When saving ASTROGRA.DAT, first looks
- for ASTROGRA.DAT then if not found looks for
- ASGRAPHC.EXE. In both cases it use the dos path
- variable.
-
- Added a new graphics print capability to this
- part of the program. GRAPHICS.COM is no longer
- needed. Prints to any printer compatible with
- EPSON FX or IBM Proprinter type printer from
- any graphics mode.
-
- Be Sure To Erase ASTROSYS.DAT and ASTROGRA.DAT
- if you are upgrading from version 2.01
-
- 2.03 International time and date support added for
- printouts and the text on graphics printout.
-
- Fixed bug that would only occur in a floppy disk
- system where the prompt to insert the disk prompts
- for the wrong disk. Floppy Disk Users Should
- Upgrade all three disks as utility programs have
- also been fixed!
-
- Fixed a bug in DOS Critical Error handler, and
- improved information particularly for users of
- DOS 3.0+.
-
- Fixed a Bug where it was not correctly determined
- if an angle or planet is on a house cusp or not.
-
- Fixed Problem Where if you encountered an error
- writing, replacing or deleting a record in either
- of the database, that additions to the database

- would all be made at the same spot overwriting the
- change, but index entries would all point to the
- same record.
-
- Added Warning messages if "War Time" is left out
- if necessary or used when not necessary, or if
- daylight time may have been left out and it may
- have been in effect.
-
- Also added capability so that text can use
- characters between 1 - 31 and those between 128
- and 255.
-
- Be Sure To Erase ASTROSYS.DAT and ASTROGRA.DAT
- if you are upgrading from version 2.01
-
- 2.04 Fixed Minor Bug in Summary caused by changes in
- 2.03, fixed bug in midpoint aspects, also fixed bug
- where house was determined to be on a cusp or
- intercepted, and changed Normal Motion to Direct
- Motion.
-
- Printout now used Bold and Underscore attributes.
- Source Text surrounded with { and } will be bold,
- and text source surrounded with < and > will be
- underlined. This is implemented in viewer, printout
- and conversion to text. A new setup screen is
- added to get printer data strings, and strings to
- replace attributes with when converting to ASCII
- text.
-
- Added New Report Format listing Numeric Data Only,
- which has it's own options screen.
-
- You must replace the Setup file ASTROSYS.DAT and
- ASTROGRA.DAT, when installing this version, and
- reset the Setup.
-
- Graphics Program beefed up so it optionally using
- commands, different info. What Follows are the
- changes in the docs.
-
- You will notice at the right side of the screen a series
- of lines at the top and bottom right of the screen such as
- "ESC=Exit", these indicate commands you can give. Anytime
- you wish to exit this program just press the {ESC} key. If
- you want to print the screen to your printer, just press 'P'
- or 'p'.
- Pressing 'S' or 's' will toggle displaying of the Sign
- Names around the circle. Pressing 'N' or 'n' will toggle
- displaying the numbers 0-360 degrees. These are displayed in
- 60 degree increments.
- Pressing '#' toggles displaying House Numbers, where
- applicable. Pressing 'H' or 'h' toggles displaying the

- degrees of the House Cusps. When this display is toggled on,
- if the House Numbers are displayed, these Numbers will be
- turned off.
- If you want to display the data for individual planets,
- press 'D' or 'd'. This will toggle displaying the degrees
- corresponding to the outer circle. If two degrees are within
- 5 degrees of one another only the first will be displayed.
- This function will turn off display of the Inner Numbers,
- if they are on at this time. If you are displaying a
- Compatibility, Transit, or Progression chart, and want to see
- the data for the inner circle press 'I' or 'i'. If the outer
- degrees are displayed, they will be turned off.
- If you want to display either the house degrees or the
- planet degrees, I would suggest, toggling off display of the
- Sign Names, Numbers 0-360, and the House Numbers, to reduce
- clutter on the screen.
-
- A typical ASTROGRA.DAT file contains the following data:
-
- MODE = 16
- GRMO = 0
- FOFI = D:\MSCOM\AST\data\MODERN.FON FOSE = t'MODERN'h11w7b
- PFLG = D0 ┌────────┘^^^
- PORT = 1 └<==Font size
- PNIT = <27>3<21> Is Smaller
- PHED = <27>L<188><2> Now!!
- PRST = <27>3<36>
- PEOP = <27>J<1>
- PANO = 0
- PDRM = N00S# <========== NOTE NEW ENTRY!!!!
- NOPA = 0
- PA# = 0, PAV = 0x000000
-
- The Line "PDRM = N00S# sets the mode that the program will
- use to print out the screen. This is actually 5 separate
- flags strung together such as the PFLG variable above. These
- flags are as above either 0 meaning they are off or to a
- specific letter indicating tha they are on. These are the
- letters and positions that they can have
-
- Pos: ON: OFF: Effect:
-
- 1 N 0 If On Shows Degrees 0-360 in 60 deg incs.
- 2 H 0 If On Shows House Cusp Degrees
- 3 D 0 If On Shows Planet Degrees (Outer)
- 4 S 0 If On Shows Sign Names
- 5 # 0 If On Shows House Numbers
-
- 2.05 Fixed problem that occurred on floppy systems only
- when user swapped disks for help while birth screen
- was on.
-
- If an error occurs, the files that would usually be
- created are now removed from the listing.

-
-
-
-
- If temporary files are deleted, they would cause
- errors when deleting files or killing the listing.
- These errors no longer cause warnings.
-
- If a user swapped, longitude and latitude, a math
- error would probably happen with unpredicatable
- effects. A new handler has been installed to catch
- math errors
-
- text and documentation files have been cleaned up a
- little bit.
-
- 2.06 Fixed a few small bugs, created in version 2.04.
- 1. Options menu options and screen didn't match.

- scheme. This version allows a password to be used
- gotten from me, so you don't need to replace .EXE

- cheaper than full registration with program.

- Made a change so that if Either the Special Code or
